Jeremy, Andy & the team did a fantastic job with our garden. Right from coming to do the original quote to finishing off the final touches Jeremy listened to what we wanted rather than trying to persuade us to do what he thought we should do. He made suggestions & openly discussed our options with us. Whilst Jeremy & the team do some really impressive stuff we just wanted a simple job to bring our overgrown & untidy garden back to life & they all respected that.
Jeremy listened to what we wanted to achieve. He constantly updated us on timing, costs etc and was very trustworthy. His guys worked quickly and were very tidy. The finished job looks great and we can’t wait to see it in full bloom!

- Jeremy’s experience, not only with technicals but also his excellent taste level. After the 2-3 round I was just saying “yes, go ahead” on the phone, as I knew he would make the right choice in terms of plants, stones, pots etc
- Pro-activeness – Jeremy immediately identified there was a dead tree in our front garden, called the council, got approval to cut it down all without us asking! Another example of this – Jeremy walked the whole house (not only the gardens as we had intended) and came up with a beautiful roof garden solution for us which we didn’t even think of! He did this in a genuine, and not sales-driven manner.
- Trust/reliability – Jeremy and the team have never been a minute late, nor missed an appointment and I now leave them in the house all day when I am not there as I know it will be well looked after without security problems

Jeremy has worked for us for a number of years. I found him through a note in a local newsagents. He came to see us, we really liked him and took it from there. He does bi-monthly garden maintenance of our 60 x 30 foot London walled garden. He is very reliable and trustworthy ie; works exactly the hours he says he is going to work and works hard during those hours. He knows a lot about plants and knows what he is doing. I also know about plants and enjoy discussing projects with him. He did a whole planting scheme for one of the long beds. It is 16 months old now and looks great. Jeremy is also a useful handyman and can happily do a pergola which he did for us – very happy to get tools etc out. One of Jeremy’s great personal qualities is a dry sense of humour.
Jeremy is great to work with. He knows his plants and is patient enough to share his knowledge and advice on how to look after the garden. Whether it be cutting back, pruning or planting…nothing is a problem. As a first time gardener – this is very much appreciated! I am going to have Jeremy Bevan Gardens do the garden regularly going forward too.

Jeremy had the challenge of working with us and our limited garden. We are not easy in that we had aspirations of a garden that was beautiful, a playground for 3 kids, a respite for us, a sports field for a 9 year old etc. etc. and only approx 15’ square.
Jeremy skilfully contained our wildly optimistic ambitions but somehow managed to distil the essence of what we wanted, to produce something that has surpassed anything any of the 5 previous garden design teams and our own attempts at design.
The whole process of demolishing our ‘mature’ garden and creating our functional oasis has been painless. His team have all been engaging, charming and courteous. They made changes when needed and also contributed to the design. They have also put up with 3 inquisitive (annoying at times) children and even made a time capsule with them under the patio, which they loved.
We are totally delighted with our new garden which is creative, quirky and tranquil, yet provides play opportunities for the kids – an amazing achievement.
We could not recommend Jeremy and his team more highly and are now thinking of making some changes to our front garden too…….

Jeremy Bevan Gardens did a brilliant job transforming our back garden. We had a dull space that was very tired and we engaged Jeremy to clean and treat the current wooden deck, put in a new fence and complete some planting. Now our garden is amazing, a real extension to our flat. Jeremy stayed in contact throughout the job and was very reliable. I would not hesitate in recommending Jeremy Bevan Gardens to a friend.
Initially Jeremy Bevan of Jeremy Bevan Gardens worked for me on the design of a specialist garden for patients with severe dementia at a North London Hospital. He created an innovative and beautiful design, adjusting the plan where necessary to incorporate the special requirements of the patients. It was exciting to watch the design develop and enjoyable to be part of the design process. Sadly, due to the planned closure of the ward, the garden was not built.
However, Jeremy Bevan Gardens then planted up the existing beds as a temporary measure. The planting was colourful but peaceful and looked good until the frosts came in late autumn, when he replanted for the winter months. Both patients and staff have clearly enjoyed the garden.
Since then Jeremy Bevan Gardens has erected trellis fencing on the very old and somewhat unstable boundary walls in my own garden. He has erected the fencing in a way that also stabilises the old brick walls. The end result is a very attractive boundary to my garden and feels long lasting and secure. My neighbour has complimented me on the trellis and on the quality of the workmanship, she was particularly impressed by the way they tidied up.

I asked Jeremy to design and plant my Hampstead garden which had been a small back yard. He transformed it into a haven of beauty and peace whilst ensuring that it was practical to maintain and didn’t cost the earth. He listened to my ideas and concerns, responded with considered thoughts and executed the agreed plan with good humour, intelligence and grace. The garden matured beautifully. I have now moved to a larger garden near the Heath and Jeremy’s interventions in this mature green space are both sensitive and practical. He has also installed some excellent fencing to deter unwanted visitors. Jeremy is a delight to work with; a real find. You won’t need anyone else!
Having had a fence erected and new turf laid by JBG I wouldn’t hesitate to request their services again or to recommend them highly to friends. I found Jeremy and his colleague to be friendly, totally reliable and completely professional. They did a terrific job and ensured that the areas they worked on were left immaculately clean and tidy.
From the design to the implementation and follw-up, Jeremy Bevan Gardens (Jeremy and his team) were a perfect joy with whom to work. We started from a literal blank sheet of paper and a very unusual workspace (somewhat triangular shape) as our house is on the corner and our garden at the back of the house climbs a gentle hill.
Jeremy worked with us each step of the way, providing suggestions and incorporating our desires to accommodate specific plants or other garden requirements (including potting table, raised vegetable beds, pergola and even poles for hanging laundry—on that occasions day when we have sunny weather,)
His team were quiet, unobtrusive and extremely neat during the many weeks they worked through the numerous steps from removal of the old garden (waste) to the finishing touches. They cleared up everything each evening and when they were completely finished, returned to power wash the premises (without being asked or at any extra expense.)
We considered Jeremy’s prices mid-range, but when it comes to value for money and quality of service; he is worth every penny. We have recommended him to a number of friends who have seen the transformation that has occurred on our property and would happily be willing to speak with you further should you have any specific questions. Allowing for some extremely poor weather conditions last winter, when the project was started; Jeremy finished on time and budget—and when you include the extra work he provided, I’d say he actually came in “under budget.
Jeremy’s team were really great, lovely guys – punctual, tidy, charming, knowledgeable and hard-working. My garden has been transformed. They worked through miserable weather as I watched from inside and left everything much tidier than they found it! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone. Jeremy Bevan Gardens have transformed a small overgrown north-facing space into a beautifully designed town garden that will give us pleasure all year round. Excellent in both design and execution, with a minimum of disruption while the work was being done, Jeremy and his assistants were a pleasure to deal with. I first consulted Jeremy several years ago for garden coaching at our previous house. When we moved to another, older Victorian house in April 2007 we found an interesting but neglected jungle and decided to see about getting the whole thing done from scratch, so we consulted Jeremy who came up with a couple of designs which we found really inspiring. His work team were wonderful, easy to deal with, unfailingly polite and interesting people. One thing that has been marvellous is the meticulous care Jeremy gave to every aspect of the work and the way he kept us informed at every stage of the process. The new garden has been doing well, really fantastic in fact and we continue to consult with Jeremy about maintenance. He has just visited to plant bulbs for next spring. The initial quote was beyond our budget, but we negotiated some changes, then made some additions during the course of the work, but it came in essentially on budget with no hidden extras.
